Bikram Yoga
What is Bikram?
It is a 90 minute, 26 asana series designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched. It is also been called "HOT YOGA" because it is done in a room with temperatures ranging from 105-108.
It helps to release endorphins- those feel good hormones and a whole other list of benefits... the best is the way you feel after.... I'm in LOVE!

I personally wasn't going to make any resolutions this year then one of my friends at work, Christine suggested that I do.... she was so cute... She said you should make some resolutions and write them down......but this year I want to keep the resolutions I make. All of my resolutions except one personal one include becoming more fit. My best friend Paula and her husband Jere and I are planning on running or walking, I even joked they may have to pull me in a wagon....in the SLC marathon. I read that regular exercise has been associated with more health benefits than anything else known to man and woman.... so what can I say....I want my benefits!
Happy 2009!

Beauty Tips
The #1 Beauty secret is staying out of the sun or use at least a 30 SPF & wear a hat when in the sun. The sun causes hyperpigmentation (those brown spots you don't want) and also breaks down the collagen and elastin in your skin. This is what supports your skin and provides that youthful glow.
#2 Never go to bed with makeup on and use good professional skin care products everyday. A good cleanser and exfoliant to rid your skin of dead cell buildup (It’s like brushing your teeth everyday; it makes a bigger impact than just getting them cleaned at the dentist) I personally like Dermalogica and Glymed. Look for products with antioxidants (vitamins A, C & E) as well as some retinols. Green tea is a good one too!
#3 Use a good eye cream. You need the additional moisture in this delicate area because of decreased oil glands. Eye creams also help with microcirculation of the eye area.
#4 Get a prescription for Retin A. It is the only FDA approved treatment for wrinkles. It can be a little drying so only use it every other night if needed. You will start to notice results in about 6 weeks. You just don’t want to use if you are in the sun.
#5 Chemical Peels are wonderful. You might be able to find a school that does them for a lesser price. But most spas or medical spas should do them. PCA is my favorite. You need a min of 3 to 6 peels 7-10 days apart to start noticing a difference in your skin. Lactic acid and TCA are best for fighting the signs of aging. (If on Retin A, skip it 7 days before and after your peels)
Heres to younger skin!
